New Years Resolutions

2009 glasses
I am not one to usually make resolutions because I either don't keep them or they are the same old ones you hear other people make over and over...like I will loose weight this year...well as you can see by the ticker on my side bar I am always trying to loose weight. Although I am a gym-a-holic and I count my calories 98% of the time...I manage to stay the same weight. I have decided that you keep 10 pounds of each child you have. But I just bought my first 2 piece since before I had Chloe when I was a size 4...so I have some work to do. The other resolution you here from the general public, that I always make is be better with my money or get out of debt. I don't really have money to be better with and I don't really have any debt except my student loans that, yes I have already been paying on...so to get those 2 out of the way here are my real resolutions and the dates I hope to have them done by....

*Play with my kids more-by today....yes we are all guilty of it. When my 2 year old is begging me to play with her and I am at the computer I say to myself..."Whats more important at this moment, this crap I am doing on my laptop or my rapidly growing 2 year old who one day won't want to play with me? And when am I ever going to get the chance to color in a tinker bell coloring book and not look silly. Plus dancing to her music is such great exercise." Or my 9 year old who really wants me to teach her how to thread a needle or mold some pottery. Or my 12 year old who actaully still likes to play hide and seek with me. So as of today I will only be on the lap top when they are not here or asleep.

*Do more with my sisters-also by today....OK I do everything with my sisters already. And even though I am very grateful for my best friends that I have had since junior high and still talk to, I can always count on my sisters to hang out with, shop with, talk to, or cry to. When I see all these girls that do so much with thier girlfriend I kinda get jelous because I only really see 2 of mine anymore. I remember how lucky I am to have 4 sisters that are my best friends and we do everything together and for each other. So I am going to try to do more for them.

*PLAN MY WEDDING-by July 2 cause that is the day we are getting married. And yes we are eloping so it doesn't leave much planning to do. I have my dress picked out. We just need to decide on a place to go.

*Eat less suger- by spring....it was either this or coffee and that is just hilarous to think I would give up coffee. I am however addicted to sugar and 99.9% of the time will not pass up a dessert. This goes into play with these last few pounds I can't quite figure out why I can't loose them.

*Have more patience with Preston-by the end of winter.....he is challenging but him and I are doing much better and we have a really strong bond that goes along with it. He is going to be 13 this year and I know I am up for a whole other list of challenges. But Dan did mention that I have been yelling less....so that is a start.

*More alone time with Dan-by....NOW!! We have all been there. Not enough alone time. And when you are finally alone you colapse with exhaustion from the day you just had. We managed to get away twice last year but only for one night each. Lets make it at least 2 OK honey....

* Last but not least....Get Chloe to sleep the night in her own bed....READ THE POST BELOW!!

Great resolutions. You sound like a great mommy. I'm definitely doing the weight loss one but that will be a year-long thing! I have so much to lose!

Hi Monica!! You are such a beautiful, person. I love your resolutions for the new year. I always have the weightloss one. And this year I am also going to try and be a better mommy. Spending more time with my kids. It's hard to picture you with a 12 yr old. I wish I could see you in action. Your girls are beautiful. Little secret of mine.... I want a girl really bad. You could probably say I'm a bit jelious of that beautiful baby of youes. She is so cute. Your 9 yr old looks a lot like you didi when I knew you. How funny is that. Keep us updated on the wedding. I can't wait to hear all about it.
