Picture Tag!
I've been tagged by a couple of friends, and now I tag everyone else!
Open the 4th file in your picture folder, and post the 4th picture along with an explanation of what it is.
This is Preston when we were making caramel apples. He thinks he is too cool for anything anymore. Even pictures and chocolate chips. But I snapped it none the less and here it is the 4th photo of my fourth file.

Well I was excited.....

My four sister's and I went and saw Twilight Friday night. I was so to see this movie because like most people in this world....I LOVED THE BOOKS!!! Maybe Stephanie Myer should have directed this movie. I swear if you have never read the books you would have been lost in the movie. OK I loved Bella and Edwards choice of actors. Edward is one fine vampire in this movie and Kristen played Bella's part perfectly. However, the only other connection I felt between any of the characters was between Bella and her dad. I felt no connection between and of the
characters. I felt like I was watching the movie in fast forward. I have to give my goods and my bads of this very anticipated movie. The first kiss between Edward and Bella was intense. Lucky girl!! Two of my sisters haven't read the book and they liked it but they had to ask questions during the whole thing. I hope they have a bigger budget for the next movie. And maybe Stephanie needs to do more than just a cameo when it comes to the making of New Moon!!

How to better Educate Diverse Students
I have been meaning to post on this for a while. I went to an education conference a couple Saturdays ago at West High School. It was for parents of the American Indian, African American, Latina/0, Asian(Korean), and Pacific Islander community we have here in Utah. I will just paste my paper I wrote for my Multi Ed class.....
When I first entered the doors at this conference I could only think of how out of place I truly felt. I was the minority in the cafeteria of
Dr. Theresa Martinez’s speech reflected her family and where she came from. She talked about how her mom raised 12 children on her own. Her mom always told her and her siblings how important school was. Her older siblings worked hard and sent their paychecks to their mom and younger siblings. Theresa and the younger siblings had a paper route and used Theresa with her cute little face as “bait” to get customers to buy from them. Her story was truly inspirational. She and her siblings all went on to college graduating with BA’s or above. Because they were always told how important school was at a young age.
I was a little disappointed with the break out sessions. They were geared more towards parents. It was more about telling them how to get involved in their children’s school and how effective it is. I was hoping to get more ideas as an educator.
The speakers were definitely the best part of this conference. And I met a lot of different people that did a lot of different things either as a parent or an educator. It was well worth my Saturday and I will be going every year they have it.
I feel so fortunate to be surrounded by so many different cultures. We should all embrace these cultures and learn from them....especially if your an educator!!

7 things you may or may not want to know about me!!
Here are the rules: you need to type 7 things about yourself that you don’t think anyone knows and then choose 7 people to tag at the end and leave their link.
1- I will read anything...I mean anything! Give me a book, magazine, newspaper, flyer, or whatever...I love to read! I love knowledge and would rather read than watch TV or movies any day!
2- I use to tell my little sister and her best friends that the Care Bears and Rainbow Bright live in our mailbox...what a fun game to pass the time. When we knew had to use our imaginations as kids.
3-I had a crush on Corey Feildman...every one like the other Corey...but goonies did it for me!!
4- I want lots of kids...(like 6) ..If I had lots of money and time and a personal trainer after I gave birth, I would have that many.
5- I gave birth to my daughters naturally. And I would never do it differently with any others I may have...maybe that is why Preston has so many problems...I blame the epideral
6-So sorry if you are LDS....just skip this one and move onto 7....I resent ever being raised LDS or anything that has to do with the church. My kids will chose their own religion when they are old enough to know better.
7- I don't regret getting married at 18 because I wouldn't have Hannah but I do regret not going to college sooner.
Now I tag anyone who wants to do it and is not offended by my #6!

Family Pictures 2008
Here are our family pictures 2008. Taken in Millcreek canyon. Kellee and her family came along and we took each others pictures. No wonder photographers charge so much for a sitting fee. It was so difficult to get my kids to cooperated. Kellee's 3, 1/1/2 , and 5 month old were more cooperative. Well we got a few of really good ones. Luckily my Christmas cards are already done :)!!
