Every once in a while I feel as though I need to do one of these updates, especially if I feel like I have not had time to blog lately. Which I haven't!!! With school for me over for the semester and school for the kids almost out, you would think I would have more time to do ME stuff.. nope!! I decided I needed to be doing summer school so I can graduate on time. I also am teaching up at the U of U all summer. Which is a job that just fell into my lap. I was interviewing for fall 2009 semester as a yoga instructor thinking I wasn't even going to get hired for that...but what they hay...go interview. She offered me a split class with another instructor that can't do both days. So I am hired on in the exercise sports and science fitness department at the university. Which means I am also on the sub list for all classes other that yoga, as well as yoga. So this week I have been teaching a ball/core cardio class and a weight training class, as well as three other yoga classes beside my own. Which is great because the pay is great. And Chloe goes along with me and plays at the day care on campus while I teach for 2 or 3 hours. I feel so fortunate to be hired on at the U. I just finished another level of training for yoga last weekend and it definitely gave me the confidence I needed to start the job this week. I am going to certify with the fitness council of America by the end of the summer and spin in October along with four and half more levels of yoga....sheesh I say!! It has seriously made me re-think my major in the education. I love teaching but lately my heart has been in this department. But Dan and I did discuss it and even though teaching yoga and other fitness classes is really good money and the U is a great opportunity, its not as stable as teaching. And it doesn't offer everything teaching will. So I am doing both.
Our wedding details are finally down to the wire. I am ready of course, Dan still needs to pick out his ring and whatever it is he wants to wear. The kids are all split up for that week, staying with friends and family. It will definitely be hard to leave them for that long, but I can't wait for the week to come. We will for sure send out cards and pictures to everyone. The one thing I did splurge a little on is the photographer so we will have great pictures for everyone to see.
Chloe is finally potty training. The whole #2 thing is still an issue but I think it will come in time like everything else she does. She has become really good friends with the neighbors three year old, as has Hannah with the 9 year old next door. We are so glad to finally have good neighbors the kids and us can hang out with and enjoy. We have loved our house but the past neighbors have been a struggle to live next door. Hannah and the girl next door are attached at the hip. I am so glad she found a good friend. Preston is ending his last year on elementary. He is ending it on a good note. He is really growing up and becoming the man we knew he would. He is really starting to except Dan as more as a father figure. And I am so glad for this because he will learn a lot about how to be a good man as well as other things.
Dan is keeping busy at work as well as taking up racket ball twice a week with co-workers. He as worked hard the last month re-doing our deck and getting the pool ready to open up this week.
I always feel as though I talk about myself more than anyone else in the family. Maybe I should get them to write on the blog....well there it is.....back to our crazy wonderful life!!
