Hannah's Recorder

OK so the fourth grade recorder program has been in the curriculum for so many years. I remember playing super califragilistic expialidocious~however you spell it~ and now Hannah's grade had their program today. As much as I wish the schools would expand on their musical curriculum...so much....I went and took videos and the fourth graders were so proud of themselves. Hannah mentioned to me that she no longer could play the recorder in school. I am hoping it dwindles out of popularity at home as well. I know the kids seem to be so proud of learning an instrument, however, the recorder has such a unique sound, I am wondering if it is considered an instrument at all. She did a great job though!!! She was one of the best players so she sat on the front row. She also had to wear her new glasses so she could see the overhead projector notes on the wall.
