The Necklace

So I had Preston up on campus with me last week. We were heading to the Student Union Building (SUB) when this lady from Peru was selling the most beautiful necklaces I had ever seen and she was selling them for really cheap. I bought a really pretty turquoise one but after we had lunch I had to go back and see if I could find one that would match my wedding dress. My dress in very cream and I wanted something that would stand out. If you know me well at all you would know I am very different when it comes to jewelry. I picked out another turquoise one that was also pure silver. I asked Preston what he thought about it. He replies "don't ask me I don't know about stuff like that." But then he goes around the table and picks up this cream sea shell and silver necklace and says "this is the one mom!" Knowing that he has seen my dress I picked it up and bought it. I brought it home and placed it in front of my dress and almost cried. I said "Preston this is the perfect necklace. Thank you for picking it out." He felt pretty good about himself. I am so glad he picked it out. Because we are eloping it kinda leaves the kids out of the whole thing. Now I will at least have a little piece of Preston.

that is so sweet Monica! I have absolutely no eye when it comes to jewelry, but that is a really pretty necklace. Great find! It will be fun to see your pictures in the actual gown.

Ooo, I love it. So gorgeous.
btw, I'm coming to Utah to visit cuz my little sis just had a baby. All the girls and my mom will be there! It's real quick (thurs-mon) but if it's close to you, it would be fun if you could drop by! I think it's called Saratoga Springs...
