Well the hustle and bustle of Christmas is over. And we all ask ourselves "Was it worth it?" Now that I am broke and I have more stuff in my house and have more reasons to de-cutter after the New Year. Yes it was worth it. To see the kids open their presents in record time (30 presents in 20 minutes) and to see the surprise on their faces when they got what they didn't even know they really wanted. I love being around all of my crazy HUGE family as well. I love to see the creative gifts my sister's come up with. Being broke means finding your creative side. I love homade gifts the best anyway. I always saw that I am not going to over do it this year. My cards are going to be simple, I will keep the party throwing down to a minimal, I will only bake three items this year, and I will not buy too many presents for everyone. And I and every year I find I did more than the year before. Even with finals week, the flu hitting our house during finals week...so hard I took my math final while I had the flu...and passed with a B...anyway after flu and finals week, things seemed to slow down a bit. Then I got hit with a massive cold. It feels as though I am swimming under water with a vice around my head and cotton shoved up in my sinuses. So after wrapping, baking, and party throwing I now realize that I am really sick and I actaully need to lay down and go to bed early...like 9 or 10 early. But now we are due to leave to West Yellowstone Montana. So its time to pack and organize, and not only that but I can't leave my house with all the decorations up and come home to a house that is not in perfect order. Sometimes I need to be reminded to just let some things go especially when I am feeling this bad. At least West is so peacful and quiet and I don'thave to cook or clean. I can relax and hopfully feel rested when we get back so I can tackle my New Years resolution to-do list of organizing and de-cluttering the house. Well Happy New Year everyone and I will post our trip to West soon!!

I remember being young and my mom would say 'homemade gifts are the best' and I was like 'yeah, right'. Now I totally get it - homemade gifts really are the best!
It's amazing how everyone has a blog and everyone loves Twilight! So fun to find you again. I don't think of my childhood without thinking of Monica Kener. We had so much fun. I still remember a day when we couldn't stop laughing in the bathroom. And listening to "I wear my sunglasses at night" with your sisters. And Camille's velvet wallpaper. And sneaking off to buy candy bars on our bikes! And your fabulous backyard with the enormous sunflowers. Thanks for giving me great memories! I can't believe I already have kids older than I was when I moved away! So crazy. Your kids are all beautiful. Sorry about your divorce but so glad you found someone else to love. Where did you meet Dan?
Good times, I love your family I am glad to see you all had a grea time.
