I am officially a sophomore

Go Utes!!!

I just finished my last paper during this grueling finals week. I passed my math class with a B!!! I was so excited about that. I actually like math now. College has been such a great experience for me and with one year down I am officially a sophomore at the U!!! Yeah for me!! I do feel like I missed out on the good part of being the whole college student......living on campus and hanging out on weekends. However I have made some good friends up on campus and some of them are freshman right out of high school and some of them are like me......mothers going to school. Its been a lot of fun. My kids are really looking up to me and they are both starting to talk about going to the U when they grow up....even Preston. I had to take Preston on campus with me last month because he got suspended from school. Oh I hope this kid makes it that far. He seemed to like it and it got him excited to go....all the college kids riding their skateboards to and from class. He liked that. I am just glad I can officially say I am done with my first year....AH sigh of relief....now I can blog lots and lots!!

Thank goodness for coffee

All I could think of this morning is "thank goodness I drink coffee." Between Chloe and Hannah being sick, I got one of my raging migraines at three o clock this morning. Chloe starting throwing up(in the car of coarse) at five last night and tummy was bugging her all night. I don't think it was the flu only something she ate. Hannah lost her voice and has a really bad cough and she got a really bad bloody nose at five this morning. After my headache went away(two hours after I took medicine) I got Hannah to sleep and Chloe to sleep for at least half hour at a time. Dan had to be to work at six this morning so he was up and of coarse so was I. When he finally left I took Chloe into bed with me, gave her some Tylenol and water that she insisted on tipping herself, dumping it all over her and me. 6:30....maybe I can get another hour in........nope....I put Chloe back in her bed because she is just making me loose it even more. She finally goes to sleep.........fifteen minutes later I hear her........"owe..owe" Jasper our new kitten jumped in her bed and was trying to wake her up by clawing her face. I usually keep her door shut so this doesn't happen but I guess I was a bit out of it this morning. I just hope the girls feel well enough this morning so I can send Hannah off to school and Chloe to day care for an hour so I can go to the gym. At least they got sick before we leave on vacation next week......thank goodness for my coffee right now..............

Am I old enough to have a teenager?

He is not quit a teenager, he is 11! But he may as well be a teenager. I think I am going to spend the rest of my life explaining Preston to the rest of the world. He takes some understanding. I don't like blaming everything on his "ADHD" but this also takes some understanding. I recently did a thesis for school on whether or not ADHD was over diagnosed or too quickly diagnosed. If you don't understand what it really is then yes, it is over diagnosed. I learned about this disorder before I let his Doctor diagnose him with it. I also need to re learn a lot about it when he is trying my patience each day. When I get a call from the school about something he did. Or even a call from his old school about something he did. I mean on my heck...his old school calling me because he is causing problems there..he doesn't even go there anymore. Yet he makes his way over there to cause problems. Maybe I give him too much freedom....but he is a lot like me......he has to learn the hard way. So I give him his boundaries and I give him certain freedoms after his responsibilities are full filled. It is a daily struggle with Preston, however, he is so much like me. That is a scary thought for any of you that knew the younger me!!

Keeping up!!

I am so impressed with everyone who keeps up on these things. I made it a goal to keep up on mine now that summer is here and I actually have some time. School is out for me....one year down in my quest to become one of your children's future teacher. We are getting ready to go to Florida for seven days. I am so excited because we need a vacation very much. We spent all day yesterday trying to plant a tree so we could get some sort of privacy from our neighbors whose cars have those great big mufflers on them. And they try to Rev their engines as often as possible. It was suppose to be our weekend without Preston and Hannah, but ever since their Dad moved into the neighborhood(yes my ex-husband) they are always here along with their four new step brothers and sister.....so much for a weekend off. I love having them around...but I got use to my weekends off!! Well we got the ground level and the tree is still in the pot. We went on a bike ride instead enjoying this weather that we have been waiting for. Ihope to keep up on this as much as all of you because there is always lots to share!!!
